Childhood Development
Services is a nonprofit agency that strives
to offer comprehensive quality services to children and support families and
staff toward personal growth and self-sufficiency.
We are a full-service
resource for families with children from age birth through twelve years
old. To meet the needs of families, we take a holistic approach through
childcare provider and family support, family education, and the development of
quality child care.
Childhood Development Services programs provide unique choices for
families in communities in a five county area. These programs include:
• Pre-school Head Start
• Early Head Start
• Resource and Referral
• Subsidized Child Care
• Child Care Training
• Child Care Food Program
• USDA Food Program
• KidCare Out Reach
These programs include the federally funded Head Start program, Early Head Start program for children
under age three, Parent and Provider Services, School Readiness Subsidy Child Care, Child Care Training, Child Care Food Program, USDA Food Program, and
Florida KidCare, which offers health insurance for uninsured children from birth through age 18 with eligibility based on family size and income.
The agency reflects integrity, honesty, fairness, and a professional image through
strong community visibility. The agency provides a safe and stimulating environment for children, families and staff. The agency collaborates with
community partners to provide an environment which fosters school readiness through quality early childhood programs and family participation.
